I will finally update because yesterday was awesome and I feel bad for not putting the icons' of the clubs I'm in. Sorry guys...I didn't update my journal after I joined the clubs. OTL

November 6, 2009- Miyakonojo Visit
So, yesterday was the Miyakonojo(our sister school) visit to my school. I have NO idea why our sister school is all the way in Japan, but....yeah...lol IDK! Since I'm in the JNHS(Japanese National Honors Society) club, I'm required to host a student. We started out with writing letters to one another (pen pal through e-mail). I've only directly written to Asako, my pen pal, once, since the first letter I was just writing to whoever gets my letter lol. We were all required to get them a present and I had a lot of trouble since I've only written to her once lol. She likes Arashi, but I'm not a fan. I love comics, but she's never read them, though she says she's interested. orz In the end I got her a cup, a cable car model, and two bags of Thai tea because she wanted to try it. I made a card for her too, but since I did it last minute, it was really late at night (more like morning though) so I didn't get a chance to scan it in. It's nothing special, so pfft no biggy!! ;D
I was so nervous when their bus came!! I was afraid I wouldn't understand what she was saying if she talks to me...OTL and I was right LOL!! We had a hard time communicating because I wanted to say something but I didn't know the word in Japanese, and she wanted to say something but she didn't know the word in English, so yeah....I fail orz. I did ask her some questions relating to school, her family, hobbies, etc., but it was kind of really awkward-ish still. We mostly laughed it off haha.
But overall, it was really awesome! They were all really nice and they were SO good at their song presentation. Totally pwned us.....lol. Also, Asako gave me a fan, a pack of highlighters (6 colors), something I SERIOUSLY need 'cause mine are dying lol, and Green Tea Kit Kat. When I saw the Kit Kat, I was like:WTFJSDFLJSIDFJSAL green tea flavored Kit Kat??!!!! WTFFFFFLOL it's so cool. Never thought something like that could ever exist pfft. I wanna try it, but since it's a gift, I don't wanna eat it. It expires in July 2010. Might as well eat it...at least I can still keep the box? lol.
I'm really gonna miss Asako! I hope we still do the pen pal thing, but I'm not sure if we will or not.
